When not in normal mode, the following shortcuts for normal mode can provide the following effects:

| Ctrl + J | Open downloads folder in Firefox |
| Ctrl + Shift + J | Open Firefox parent process browser console |
| Ctrl + O | Open downloads folder in file explorer |
| Ctrl + K | Go to search bar |
| Ctrl + E | Go to search bar |
| Shift + Esc | Go to Firefox process manager |
Additionally, Ctrl + K in normal mode can bring you to the search bar if you are editing the top/first cell of a notebook
When in normal mode, the following normal mode shortcuts have no effect:
