Using dot in a path param value

It seems like dots are not supported in path param values? at least locally in DEV mode I get 404 errors

my Route is: /public/$domain

when I'm navigating to http://localhost:4000/public/example.com I get a 404 error, http://localhost:4000/public/example returns the desired page

Are dots not supported in path param values? Is there are possible workaround?

Sorry if this is documented somewhere, couldn't find a solution for this yet. Only found this config option which doesn’t include dots: https://tanstack.com/router/latest/docs/framework/react/guide/path-params#allowed-characters

ok after trying to create a reproducable example on StackBlitz I found that the issue didn't exist there

After a bit of investigation I realized that it was due to an older version of Vite I was using locally .. after upgrading from Vite 4 to 6 it's now working flawlessly 🤦‍♂️
