Installation help needed

Hello. I decided to try to install this very promising plugin.
To my great pity the instructions seems to be written for somebody not with everage skills...:-)

1. What is CPM and do I need it? Do I need to install all 6?
2. Searched internet for ECM - no success. What is it? Where can I find it?
3. Are there any chaces to have this pluging included into a distribution once? :-)
   Sorry for the stupid questions - I am really an ordinary C++ programmer...
