Your thoughts on an aperture phase from image/function

Hello,

I'm a student working on a free-form type of lens which has multiple focal points, I write my own python program and just found yours which looks fantastic. And, naturally, I wanted to test those lenses with your project as well.

I associate my lens with a phase mask for my simulation, in your code I see that you can create an aperture from an image but I was wondering if three would be a way to make a phase mask. I guess I can make my way into the program, but I wanted to share this with you.
